Ripogenus is the musical persona of Shawn Duggan and Empty Porch his debut EP.

His earliest musical memory was listening to the sounds of The Who’s “Getting in Tune” coming through his older brother's bedroom wall, knowing then what a deeply moving force music would hold for him. First playing in an Elvis tribute band then to original punk/alternative groups performing all the iconic Boston dives, to studying fingerstyle blues and bluegrass and folk music have all shaped his musical stylings. His debut has captures essences of it all.
